Welcome to ScamWatch!

As you may have noticed, this forum is still new just about nobody, at this stage, know about it.
We hope that this will change, soon, but we need YOU to spread the word and tell others about us!

This site was created to bite back at all the wolves out there, the ones who are constantly thinking of new ways to get their claws on your hard earned money.
Those wolves that convince you to buy into that useless travel club, timeshare or holiday packages; or sell you that caravan, car, guitar or puppy that doesn't exist.

Some of them use the classifieds, some of them run seemingly legitimate corporations, employing large call-centers to lure in as many unwary sheep as possible.
They prey on our trust in the good of humanity, they steal money from our mothers, fathers, grandfathers, friends and anyone trusting enough to believe them.

The more voices we have, the louder our voice becomes and the greater our impact will be!

Very good

I presume you also read Scambusters? There is a lot of info on there, even about South African scams. Good luck, a worthwhile enterprise

Hi Chris, Welcome!

The idea with scamwatch.co.za is to be a SA-based "scamming index" (or repository) for the web-crawlers.

For instance, if you are contacted with a great deal and want to know if it's legit, Google their name/tel nr/address etc. If Google points you here, consider yourself warned.
For this to work we need more data, and a better page-rank, but hopefully, with time we will get there.

Scamming in SA is rife and being a scam-artist here can be very lucrative, the CPA helped to some extent, but not enough, people are simply too gullible and trusting.

Please tell your friends, family & colleagues.
